Bali 3rd to 19th August 2009

Monday 3rd August 2009
I really didn't think this day would come.
Joel drove Sally, Bobby and I to the airport..
We arrived 4 hours before our flight.
Way to early but you never know if your going to be stuck in traffic.
Or if your car brakes down. It's better to be safe than sorry.
We was first in line to check in.
I forgot to put the locks on our suitcases.
I had to go back to the counter and ask the lady if we can put the locks on.
The lady was very understanding and she found our suitcases so we could put the locks on.
The flight over with Jetstar went well.
We arrived at Denpasar airport and went through customs and immigration within half an hour.
We collected our suitcases and headed outside the airport to buy a Bali sim card.
Just outside the airport exit door to your left, is a little phone shop.
We bought our Mentari Sim card there for 70,000RP.
WE then got our taxi to the Bakung Sari Motel for check-in.
We got our usual room. 211.

Tuesday 4th August 2009
WOW Sallys 13th Birthday today!
Today is her day and she wanted to go shopping.
We walked down to our money changer in the Kuta Art markets.
Changed AUD$100 @ 8150RP
Went into our DVD shop in Kuta Art Markets
How surprised was they to see us.
We bought our DVDs & PS2 games and some computer software.
Browsed the surf shops and Marti Hari.
Bought 3 pairs of thongs at 25,000RP each.
Bought my watch for 30,000RP.
Headed back to our motel for some lounging by the pool.
Oh this is the life, I love it!
My Balinese sister came over to the motel to see us.
She took Sally on her motor bike to all the Surf Factories.
Sally shopped till she dropped.
When they got back, I gave Jenny her body board.
She loved it.
I went and had my hair done at Lucys.
Hair washed and blow dried and cut and straightened for 35,000RP.
Great price but I hated it.
She cut it way too short for my likings.
I was not what I wanted.
Hopefully it will grow by the time next year comes.
We went for dinner at Jesens.
I love having a feed here, so cheap and yummy!
After a full busy day, we went to bed by 9.30pm.

Wednesday 5th August 2009
We had breakfast in our hotel restaurant.
There was a family of rats playing around.
They was really funny but yuk rats in the dinning room.
The motel got rid of them in the next few days.
This holiday, it seemed like everywhere we went in Bali
Rats was all over the place.
Steeling the offerings where ever they could.
I have never seen so many in Bali, in all my trips.
We changed $100AUD @ 8175.
We shopped at Melasti Markets.
Bought Bobby 4 pairs of shorts + 3 t-shirts +
spiderman outfit for 190,000RP.
We then stopped into Bali Aussie
Guess what we saw there?
A rat steeling the offerings.
Headed back to our motel.
We swam in the pool for 3 hours.
I got so burnt.
Stupid me!
I should know better.
Kenny arrived today, stuffed!
Kenny, Daniel, Chloe, Sharee and Joel decided to go
with Air Asia when they got there tickets for free.
They only had to pay the taxes.
But the flights was way to long.
Newcastle to Melbourne with Jetstar.
Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia.
Kuala Lumpur to Bali with Air Asia.
They said NEVER AGAIN!
We went for dinner at Buba Gumps for Sallys belated birthday dinner.
Amber + Chris joined us, which was lovely.
So thanks Amber + Chris.
Our Motel supplied the cake, Once again.
They do it every year.
If you have your birthday while staying in the motel,
You get a free birthday cake.
Dinner was yum but expensive.
200,000RP for a bucket of prawns for me.
Kennys dinner was 160,000RP.
Daniels dinner was 160,000RP.
My shout LOL.
Sharee + Joel + Daniel + Chloe arrived from the airport.
They was late for dinner and they was exhausted from the flight.
Dinner was finished and out came the staff
Clanging pots and pans with the birthday cake,
and singing happy birthday to Sally.
They made her stand on a chair so everyone could see her.
Oh so funny!
After dinner we headed back to the motel.
Sharee + Joel got an early night in bed
While Kenny + Daniel + Chloe went out for a piss up.
But whats new when them.
