BALI, - Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 11.15 pm. A car bomb exploded in Legian Kuta. At least 180 people were killed and more than 200 injured, including foreigners, in a series of explosions on Indonesia's popular resort island of Bali, police and hospital officials said on Saturday. On the scene the thick smoke billows from the smoldering rubble, and rescue workers cover their noses to the smell of burning corpses.Little remains of the Sari Night Club, which was packed with tourists when the bomb hit late Saturday. Bali is my second home. I was holidaying in Bali with my family, like we do every year for the last 10 years. We left the Island 20 days before the bombing, to come home. We count our blessings every day.
